Hockey Clothing
Ice hockey is a popular sport in North America, and the market for equipment reflects this. The sport has gained popularity throughout the world partly due to the advent of synthetic ice.
Goalie pants are made of the thicker pelvic, thigh, and hip pads for protection. Goalie jocks, also known as jills have less protection for the groin area and more padding on the front of their cup.
Apparel
Hockey players are required to wear protective gear because the sport requires high-speed skating on hard surfaces. Players collide frequently and, sometimes, even intentionally. The most common safety equipment for the hockey player is sticks, ice skates, helmets with visors chest protectors, shoulder pads, gloves, elbow pads, heavy-padded shorts, (also known as jock athletic protectors for males and jockstraps "jills" for women) and a pelvic protector (also known as a girdle or a "jill" for females), and hip pads, thigh pads, tailbone pads, and shin pads. A neck protector can also be worn.
In recent years technology has been used to reduce the weight of ice hockey apparel and to make it more practical. Many companies employ carbon composites in stick shafts and specially-designed foam to make shoulder pads lighter, without harming protection. Other enhancements include 3D scans to accurately determine the body proportions of a player to ensure that elbow pads knee pads, and shinpads are designed to be sized for each player.
The market for hockey is predicted to expand over the next several years as more people are aware of the sport, and as artificial ice rinks are built across the globe which will allow players in areas which natural ice isn't available. The number of female hockey players has also increased which is good for the market.
Hats
A hat is a crucial piece of hockey equipment and can be worn on and off the skating rink. We offer a variety of caps that will please both men and woman. We also have a selection of hats for children fans and players that can be used for training or games. Hats are a part of hockey culture and can be seen all over the league, including the infamous practice of hat tricks, in which fans throw their hats on the arena after a player has scored three goals during a game.
From bestselling designs to new arrivals, we've got all the NHL clothing you require to look like a professional on and off the ice.
Jerseys
Hockey jerseys are the uniforms hockey players wear. They are typically made from heavier fabrics than those used in other sports, and have long sleeves. The jerseys have the team logo on the front along with the last name of the player on the upper back and the number from 100 to 0. Some jerseys are adorned with "C", "A" or "A" to indicate the captain of the team, as well as an alternate captain.
There are two kinds: authentic and replica. Original jerseys are made from the same material as the ones worn by the players, and feature the same design. Replica jerseys are made of different (and generally less expensive) materials, and might not have the exact design as the authentic jerseys.
The majority of NHL teams have 3 or 4 sets of jerseys to wear during games. There are also particular sets, for example heritage designs and charity events. Each jersey is fitted with an elastic band sewn to the inside back called a fight strap, which needs to be fixed to the player's pants during a game to stop the sweater from being pulled over a player's head in a fight.
The Authentic Pro is a top-tier NHL jersey made of high-performance fabrics, featuring multilayered tackle twill and 3D embroidery. It also features reinforced stitching. Both styles for women and males are available. The Authentic Premier is a lower-tier version of the Authentic Pro, and it is designed to mimic the appearance of the jerseys players wear on the hockey rink.
Shirts
The sweaters, or jerseys of a team are the most recognizable clothing. The primary logo of the team is visible on the front, and an additional logo is usually worn on the shoulders. The number of the player is located under the player's name which can range from 0 100. The captains of the team wear the capital "C" to the left of their jersey's logo. Two other players designated as alternate captains, wear an "A".
The majority of NHL teams have an alternate sweater that is worn on special occasions, such as the Winter Classic and Stadium Series. In addition there are many teams who have a throwback or retro alternative for their home jerseys. These third sweaters allow teams to play around with new designs and are often used as a base for the development of their primary jerseys.
Vancouver Canucks' sweater is an elegant combination of modern and traditional design. The black and navy blue jerseys are bold and easy to spot on the ice. White stripes are a nice contrast. The Canucks also have a fantastic font on their names and numbers that enhances the clean and crisp look of the jersey.
